Consecutive Interpretation
In consecutive interpretation, the interpreter translates the speech during short breaks agreed with the speaker. The interpreter will translate to the speaker questions that the listeners will mask, so the interpreter must speak same language of the listeners and must be able also to understand the speaker’s language perfectly. Consecutive interpretation is requested in meetings, interviews and often in events where there is an audience that speaks a different language than the talker. To make notes, the Interpreter uses very accurate professional techniques, because the interpreter has to wait for the conclusion of the speaker’s speech or a pause in order to translate and report the concept in the target language.
