General conditions _ Translation

1.0 Client obligations

For each request of translation services, a contract will be drawn and sent to the client. Signatures are required by the client and by the translator; the contract is to be completed in all parts. The client is to inform G&B communication regarding all information according to the services requested, with particular reference to: delivery time, type of text, delivery formality and technical terms to use. Moreover, the customer will point out the number of pages to translate, source and target language and the file format to translate in i.e. .doc, .pdf. Such an order is to be communicated only via mail through www.gb-communication.com or by fax at +39 06.45504281.

1.1 Technical text interpretation

Technical texts will be accompanied by documents provided by the client that will allow a good understanding and translation of the text.

1.2 Unit of calculation

The unit of calculation of words for a translation is stipulated as: An A4 page composed of 1500 characters, spaces included, equal to 25 lines or the calculation word by word spaces included

1.3 Formalities

The translation will start only when the signed contract and documents are received. The translator must be specialized in the applicable field, with certified professional experience, in order to guarantee an accurate translation.

1.4 Determination of a contract

In case of determination of the contract by client, he is obliged at the redeliver of the text consigned within 12 h. If the text to translate has already started and given to the translator, the customer is obliged to pay 50% of the amount defined on the contract.

1.5 Delivery time

The translation sent by the client is to be reviewed by the translator in order to define a delivery time. For “general translations” delivery time could change depending on how many pages are required: 1-2 working days. For “technical translations” delivery time could change according to specialized fields. For “urgent translations” delivery time is around 12 hours, at the client will have applied 20% of increase according to the cost and delivery time agreed.

1.6 Payment

The client is to pay the agreed sum to G&B communication, for a single charge or a specific period of the services required. The client is responsible for the reimbursement of any expenses incurred by G&B communication to carry out the services guaranteed.

-Deposit
After acceptance of conditions and signing of the contract, the client will owe the deposit of 50 % of the service amount, with the payment to be done via bank transfer. The receipt of payment must be sent online to www.gb-communication.com or transmitted by fax to +39 06.45504281 addressed to the Translation and Interpretation Manager.

-To pay in full
To settle the agreed amount in full, it will be paid within and not over 2 days of the invoice issued by G&B communication. The payment is to be done by bank transfer. 1.7 Commencement of services

G&B communication will not start any commencement of services or translation until the signed contracts have been received and completed in full.

In any case G&B communication will be responsible for translation that will be considered not stylistically inherent to the client, because the translator will translate only the text received without alteration.

1.9 Claim

Claims will only be considered when received by G&B communication via mail up until 7 days from the date of delivery time. Each claim will be accompanied with original documents and contested translations.

2.0

G&B communication will not be considered responsible in the event of deletion caused by fax, modem, or email not directly managed by G&B communication.

2.1 Missed delivery deadlines

In case of missed delivery deadlines according to the delivery time agreed in the contract, G&B communication will be responsible for the full reimbursement of the missed service.

2.2 Privacy

The translator is forced to observe the maximum privacy regarding any facts, information, and documents received in order to translate. The translator is obliged to observe the maximum privacy. Unless different declaration or instruction is provided by the client, the documentation provided to the translator will be archived at the end of the service required.

2.3

Both parties are obliged to respect all clauses of the contract signed, according to the General conditions of translation service.

2.4 Information security

G&B communication guarantees all necessary measures are to take place, according to Law Decree 196/03 in order to protect data.
